PAR
Holly Ridge Golf Course is a par-54 gem that consistently ranks among the best executive courses in the region. A perfect blend of fun, challenge, and accessibility, Holly Ridge delivers a well-rounded golf experience, whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer looking to sharpen your short game.
For a par-3 course, Holly Ridge offers a well-thought-out layout that never feels repetitive.
Holes range from short flick wedges to legitimate mid-iron tests, with well-placed bunkers and subtle greens keeping you honest.
The routing flows nicely, and while it won’t blow you away with creativity, the design maximizes the available land.
Playability
BIRDIE
This course is a fantastic place for all skill levels. Newer players will appreciate the forgiving fairways and approachable green complexes, while better golfers can dial in their wedges and putting.
The pace of play is typically solid, though occasional backups can occur on busy summer weekends.
Views
PAR
Holly Ridge is quintessential Cape Cod pine-lined golf.
While there aren’t any dramatic vistas, the tree-lined fairways and natural setting provide a peaceful, secluded feel.
It's an enjoyable walk with some charming scenery, especially in the fall when the colors start to pop.
Vibe
BIRDIE
Relaxed, welcoming, and refreshingly unpretentious. Holly Ridge has a strong community feel, with friendly staff and a mix of casual players and serious golfers working on their short game.
You’ll see everything from families to single-digit handicappers grinding on their wedge control.
If you are lucky, you'll see local legend, Larry, monitoring slow play and keeping the birds on their toes. (Ruff/rough life…)
Condition
BIRDIE
For a busy public course, the conditioning is solid. The greens are well-maintained and usually roll true.
Bunkers are in decent shape, and fairways hold up well. Given the volume of play, they do a great job keeping things in order.
Practice Areas
EAGLE
One of the biggest selling points of Holly Ridge. The practice facility is top-tier for an executive course, with a spacious driving range, short game area, and a well-kept putting green.
It’s a great spot to warm up or spend an afternoon fine-tuning your touch around the greens.

BOGEY
Harwichport is light on post-round amenities—there’s no full bar or clubhouse restaurant, just a small pro shop with drinks and snacks.
But being in the heart of Harwich Port, you’re only minutes away from some of the Cape’s best spots for a post-round bite or beer.
Logo
PAR
Simple but classic. The holly motif fits the course's identity well, and while it won’t win any design awards, it’s clean and recognizable.
Memorability
BIRDIE
While there aren’t any jaw-dropping holes, Holly Ridge is a course you’ll want to return to. The variety in distances and the need for precision make it engaging round after round. Standout holes include the longer par-3s that test mid-iron accuracy and some fun, bunker-protected greens that demand creativity.
Holly Ridge is a must-play for golfers on the Cape looking for a fun, quick, and well-conditioned round. Whether you’re a beginner learning the game, a junior golfer getting reps, or a seasoned player sharpening your short game, it delivers an enjoyable experience every time.
Add in the strong practice facilities and laid-back atmosphere, and it’s easy to see why this course remains a local favorite.
