Oyster Harbors

For those that are lucky to get to play it, Oyster Harbors showcases Donald Ross at his finest.

A glimpse behind the gates…

Located on its own mini island, Oyster Harbors is one of the more exclusive, hard-to-play courses on the Cape.  You literally need to pass through a gate a windmill to get a glimpse of the course.

For those that are lucky to get to play it, Oyster Harbors showcases Donald Ross at his finest. The greens complexes are huge and extraordinarily interesting. Multiple tiers, false fronts, and extreme fall offs are all present on this course. Adding to these classic greens features, the course is kept in impeccable condition where the greens can run so fast that putting off of them is often very much in play.

While we’d classify the greens as diabolical, the course itself is relatively benign off the tee.  There are not a ton of trees and you can get away with misses as it can be rather wide open in most spots.

While you don’t see many houses from the course, the mini island is actually an exclusive neighborhood with the course in the middle.  As such, you get very few views of the water from the course.  The waterviews are reserved for the homeowners.

The pro shop welcomes you just off of the first tee, but the true star is the clubhouse.  The clubhouse is the big exception to the waterviews.   The clubhouse dining room gives off 1950s New York City steakhouse vibes, complete with impeccable service and food.  Venturing off behind the clubhouse is where you’ll find the elusive water view – the perfect spot for a post-round drink (or a wedding reception!)
