Twin Brooks Golf Course

Like Hyannis itself, Twin Brooks is almost always fun, but a little rough around the edges.

PAR

Twin Brooks is a true Par 3 course.

The fun mix of lengths will allow you to work on all of your short irons. The 18 Par 3s range from 90 to 215 yards.

The course estimates 2.5 hours to play, which can be perfect for before or after your family’s trip to the beach.

If you are short on time and want to hack around, Twin Brooks is the course for you.

The entire course tips out at 2621 yards.

Playability

EAGLE

The best part about Twin Brooks is that it is accessible to everyone.

Twin Brooks is a great way to work on your short irons or to get beginners out on a real course.

You’ll have to navigate forced water carries and some coarse bunkers, but most holes are fairly straightforward - especially for low handicappers.

Unless you need a cart, you should always walk this course.

Views

BOGEY

The (twin) brooks and small ponds running through the course create some fun hazards on the majority of the holes and some relaxing views.

As you get deeper into the course, the views become more bucolic. But it’s hard to ignore the back of the hotel (and dumpster views) that line the 1st and 18th holes.

Vibe

PAR

You know you are in for something different when you see the sign for the course propped up on the back of a golf cart.

Twin Brooks presents a utilitarian, yet relaxed and comfortable, vibe.

The course can provide a nice respite for those looking for a break from the beach - or their family on a long vacation!

The course prides itself on its year-round availability. This is commendable and can make for a fun outing for hearty, golf starved hackers in the winter months.

However, $40 in January is a bit steep (especially when you can play the much nicer shorter courses like Kings Way or Southers Marsh for half the cost.)

Condition

DOUBLE BOGEY

Not great... Granted, we played a January bonus round, but the greens were in rough shape.

The condition was passable, but our rating is likely skewed because we saw much better - and greener - from courses less than 20 minutes away on the same day.

Practice Areas

DOUBLE BOGEY

Nothing to speak of in terms of practice areas, but to be fair, a Par 3 like this is designed to be your practice.

There’s a cabana-bar inside the hotel/conference center that lines the course, but it doesn’t exactly overlook the course.

The course is just a short walk or drive from Hyannis Center, so we recommend checking out the copious amounts of dining and drinking options there post-round.

This is a fun and approachable course for every type of player. The logo makes it look about as fun as an insurance company.

Memorability

Apparently (according to every bit of Twin Brooks marketing) Golf Digest called Twin Brooks “the most challenging par 3 in Cape Cod.”

The mix of holes provides for a fun test - and something different from 90% of the other courses on the Cape, but it won’t be super-challenging for the better golfers among you.

There really is no comparison between Twin Brooks and the much higher quality of other area short courses like Kings Way, Southers Marsh, or Blue Rock.

Just off of the busy Hyannis center streets, Twin Brooks is a bit of an oasis. But, like Hyannis itself, Twin Brooks is almost always fun, but a little rough around the edges.
